Security gates protect this private estate with two houses, each home having total privacy and space. La Gallardo is surrounded by its own 3000m2 of landscaped gardens--well established, aromatic and colourful. Weekly garden maintenance ensures it continues to thrive. L'Amarine is also on the same property, but also has total privacy. These two homes, with room to sleep 20 people, are perfect for large groups.
The swimming pool is 10m x 5m with security for children. Steps leading down into the pool are the ideal spot for dipping your toes while reading a book. Serviced weekly, the large pool and the surrounding sun loungers are quite a draw!
The terraces are furnished with an array of Lloyd Loom style armchairs. La Gallardo has been designed and built to traditional Provencal style, taking into account the seasonal weather changes. There are wonderful covered terraces for dining, lounging and taking a nap.
The Wisteria over one of the terraces creates a lovely natural shade and colourful aesthetic.
Integrated air conditioning is set all throughout the house, with the possibility of setting the temperature for each room.
With every year the garden brings new growth, new colour and an additional comfort. The aromatic herbs and plants surrounding the pool are a delight. The olive trees and well established hedges create a wonderful 'frame' around the property.
The L-shaped design of the house means the living room is together ... but apart! With delightfully comfortable sofas and chairs, an open fireplace for the winter months, music, digital television for UK viewing, lots of books and magazines.
La Gallardo is certainly a wonderful house whether you vacation in the warm months of summer or during the cooler off-seasons.
This well thought out eat-in kitchen is spacious, extremely well equipped and friendly. The dividing 'bar' (on the left) between the kitchen and the dining area keeps the kitchen apart but not the chef!
Kitchen appliances include a dishwasher, cooktop, side-by-side refrigerator and freezer, microwave, oven, toaster and kettle. The shelves and cupboards are full of quality equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
The open-plan design of the interior of La Gallardo creates a wonderfully spacious and light feeling. Double doors lead out to the summer kitchen and dining area and to the terraces. For indoor dining, this elegant table sits 'across the bar' from the kitchen so the elected chef for the evening can continue to be part of the conversation.
If you prefer to have a meal or two catered, then this is the ideal situation for watching your chef at work. Contact us for Information on at-home chefs.
Three bedrooms are located on the first floor. This is a spacious, en-suite double bedroom (160cm bed) which is the master suite. This and the other first floor bedrooms enjoy gorgeous views of the Alpilles mountains.
Two of the bedrooms offer a unique configuration of beds suitable for families or couples. The three single beds (90cm) can be kept as that, or two of them can be put together to create a king sized (180cm) bed.

St Remy de Provence is perhaps the most beautiful small town in Provence. Post World War II, it was an agricultural area, specializing in flower seeds and sheep, but now is known as a sophisticated country town with some of the best Provence has to offer, and with a wonderful, central location.
There are many sites in St Rémy: the very important Roman ruins at Glanum; the rue Hoche, a tiny street where French-Jewish doctor and astronomer Nostradamus was born in 1503. Don’t forget the colorful Wednesday market which is well known all over Provence. Vincent van Gogh spent most of the last year of his life here, at the St.Paul de Maussole Clinic, and painted over 150 paintings.
