The kitchen is compact with a counter, oven, stove, frig and storage on both sides that is not in view.
Like elsewhere on the ground floor, there are big glass double doors to the outside--and to let the outside in.
Up the steps from the ground floor you find a large en-suite bedroom. The bed is 160 cm(queen) and there is an open plan bathroom with tub, shower, sink and WC. There is lots of space to hang and store clothing.
The bedroom has an expansive view on the garden and mountain in the distance.

The Mas des Papillons is located on a landscaped 0.9 hectare (2.2 acres) property just outside St Remy de Provence; the grounds are full of trees, bushes, and flowers. The house opens south to the garden and the Alpilles mountains—a glorious view. Looking out from inside the house you get the same views of the garden and Alpilles; there are large glass windows in the kitchen and living room, and the bedrooms also have a view.
The main villa has three bedrooms plus a cottage with a bedroom, bathroom and sofa bed. Sleeps 8+ sofa bed. Even better, there is an outdoor kitchen with pizza oven and bbq. There is a heated pool but since not everyone likes a warm pool in summer, just ask the owner to make sure the water is heated.
St-Rémy-de-Provence is perhaps the most beautiful small town in Provence. Post World War II, it was an agricultural area, specializing in flower seeds and sheep. You might still see the sheep near the town but now St-Rémy is known as a sophisticated country town with some of the best Provence has to offer, including a wonderful, central location. Here you have a choice of many excellent cafés and restaurants, serving everything from simple, fresh local food to Michelin-starred cuisine. There is a famous Wednesday morning market, many excellent permanent food shops, and wonderful clothing shops and galleries. St-Rémy is the perfect place to stroll along the streets and enjoy the views
The owner has graciously provided his photos; we will add additional photos of the cottage and others in the spring as the weather permits.

There are many sites in St Rémy: the very important Roman ruins at Glanum; the rue Hoche, a tiny street where French-Jewish doctor and astronomer Nostradamus was born in 1503. Don’t forget the colorful Wednesday market which is well known all over Provence. Vincent van Gogh spent most of the last year of his life here, at the St.Paul de Maussole Clinic, and painted over 150 paintings.
