Les Toits de St-Rémy is a beautiful, classy flat located right in the center of St Rémy. The apartment is part of an early 19th century building but has been very recently remodeled. The old French "poutres" (cieling beams), floor tiles and walls remain from the original construction but have been updated. The owner then remodeled the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms, added all the modern appliances and conveniences--dishwasher, washer and dryer, and very comfortable hotel quality beds.
There are two bedrooms and one bathroom but the owner is happy to add a small bed for a child. There is even a sofa bed not included in the number of guests indicated. There is a small terrace with a table that seats 8 from which you can view the rooftops of St Remy; perhaps you will get the same view that Van Gogh had. There is no pool on-site but the owner has arranged for guests to use the pool at a luxury hotel in St Remy. You can also park there.

St-Rémy-de-Provence is perhaps the most beautiful small town in Provence. Post World War II, it was an agricultural area, specialising in flower seeds and sheep, but now is known as a sophisticated country town with some of the best local commerce Provence has to offer, and with a wonderful, central location.
There are many sites in St Rémy: the very important Roman ruins at Glanum; the rue Hoche, a tiny street where French-Jewish doctor and astronomer Nostradamus was born in 1503. Don’t forget the colourful Wednesday market which is well known all over Provence. Vincent van Gogh spent most of the last year of his life here, at the St.Paul de Maussole Clinic, and painted over 150 paintings.

So you just walk out the door and you will finds cafés, restaurants, shopping and relaxing local walks. You can rent bikes locally to visit the area.
