At the rear part of the farmhouse there are two separate 'maison d'amis', called Marius and Cesar. Each offers about 90 sq. metres of living space.

In total this extra accommodation can sleep 10/11 persons. The ground floor opens into a beautiful shaded terrace with 2 tables/12 armchairs. There are4 very comfortable bedrooms, 2 bathrooms upstairs, 2 shower rooms on the ground floor. There are 4 separate lavatories

Gargas means “Mount” in Provençal. The village of Gargas has 3,000 inhabitants. In the midst of plains, it is located at 4 km from the southern end of the wooded plateau of the Vaucluse Mountains. Gargas is nested at an altitude of 280 meters and is situated at 50 km East from Avignon and 4 km from the town of Apt. The village is overlooked by three mounts and comprises many hamlets. The hill of Perreal, which peaks at 471 meters, constitutes a historical and geological site—classified and protected by UNESCO. It is a protected area within which “one must respect” rare plants. It is a prehistoric site and has remains of the Gallo-roman period. On top of the Perreal hill, we can visit ruins of a Gaulish oppidum occupied until the 1st century AD as well as the Roman Chapel of Sainte Radegonde, built in 1551.

The village of Gargas is situated at about two-minutes away from La Rocaille on the other side of the hill. It has corner shops, doctors, a pharmacy, a newsagent, a bakery, a supermarket, a post office, etc. La Rocaille is 3 km from two large supermarkets, the Centre Leclerc and Simply Market. The market town of Apt is 5 km away.

At the other end of the estate, you can enjoy a private tennis court during the cooler hours of the day. A petanque court and balls are also available.
There's also a playground for children with a swing set, a slide, seesaws (one for the youngest) and 2 sandpits. Also available is a table tennis table. Garden football goals are also provided for the childrens' entertainment.
