The chic village of Lourmarin is one of the prettiest and most sought-after in the Luberon and this house is a real hidden gem, providing all the advantages of the many cafés, restaurants and boutiques nearby with an elegant and calm retreat. A perfect combination of village life and the peace and quiet of the countryside.
The house has a late-Renaissance facade but the inside has been completely renovated, beautifully decorated and elegantly furnished by the current owner. It is situated right in the centre of the village so all shops and amenities are literally moments away. Enter the house either via a door from the street or over a pretty bridge straddling a babbling brook in the garden and, even if the village is absolutely bustling, you are immediately in a different world.

There is a pretty wrought iron spiral staircase leading to the master bedroom and views onto the charming terrace. A large bookcase houses a wide variety of books, while interesting antique furniture and contemporary art complete the sophisticated look.

There is a large desk, useful for those needing to work, as well as a TV, DVD player and an extensive collection of DVD's. There is a large range-style cooker, a double sink and a huge, stainless steel fridge/freezer which also contains a wine cooler. The red walls set everything off to perfection and the pine table, with seating for 6, is a lovely place for indoor dining having, as it does, glorious views over the garden and to the Luberon beyond. For outdoor dining there is a small yet perfectly formed sheltered terrace with seating for 6.
