Close GalleryThe house is an easy 10-15 minute walk over flat streets to the center of Eygalières.
The small village of Eygalières is a real jewel in the area. Though tiny, it has cafés, restaurants, food shops, and one of the best outdoor markets in Provence. This small village is home to well-heeled vacationers, as well as to French film and tv stars and other high wattage glitterati. To give you an idea of the prestige of this little village, European royals live and visit here. However the town has retained its old style ambiance, which is one reason it is so attractive to visitors. -
Close GalleryShould all of this look just TOO laid back, then you could take a brisk walk or jog into Eygalières (the usual 10-15 minute stroll could be cut in half!), rent a bike and then peddle off around the area, choosing the trails between the vineyards and through the olive groves, or take up the
challenge of cycling the famous Mont Ventoux, about an hour away by car. All this exercise will help build an appetite for dinner at one of the excellent bistros in town.
There are tennis courts in the village, racquets are at the house. All entirely up to you ... which is what holidays in Les Alpilles should be about. -
Close GalleryThe inviting 11.5 x 5.0 metre heated swimming pool. At its deepest the pool measures 1.8 m (almost 6ft); it gently slopes up to the steps where the depth is 0.8 m (about 2.5 ft.). -
Close GalleryThe heated pool is surrounded by lawn on two sides and patio on another. There are plenty of sun loungers for all the family, and the pergola offers shade in the height of the day. Though the villa has air con and a heated pool, they cannot both be used at the same time. Usually in summer the pool heats up nicely on its own; using the pool cover at night keeps it warm. If the pool is not heated then the aircon can be used. -

The aromatic lavender, rosemary, thyme and more, all well suited to the sunny climate of Provence, fill the senses. Be sure to use them in your cooking. In all seasons the covered or open terraces and the huge covered but open summer kitchen and dining area, provide an extension to the living areas and provide a choice of where we'd like to be. -

Close GalleryShould your choice be for an exclusive winter vacation, the inside, with central heating, is quite cozy and inviting. If staying in touch with the office is a must, then there is wifi throughout. A desk and chair, good light and another bookcase are under the winding stone stairs. -

Double French doors open from the bedroom to the terrace and garden. The reading lights are excellent, and the room has plenty of hanging and drawer space. With polished wooden floors and gentle colours, this bedroom is wonderfully private, spacious and comfortable. -
