The spacious master bedroom, with a 200 cm wide bed. Beamed ceilings emphasize the ceiling height, and the windows let in lots of light and offer expansive views of the property. There is lovely art all over the home.
The gorgeous living room is made for easy and comfortable living in Provence. The stone fireplace was designed by the owner and fabricated locally. There is a large terrace which is perfect for evening parties, with one entrance from the living room, on the right. The owner has decorated the home with beautiful art. The house flows from one room to the next, and to the terrace.
The Mas des Chapelins is located on 45 acres, yet is less than a 10 minute drive to the village of Bonnieux, where you will find shops, cafes, and sophisticated restaurants. But if "country" dining is more your style, you must try the Auberge de la Loube, made famous by English writer Peter Mayle, and just a few kilometers northeast of Bonnieux. You might want to try the extremely rustic yet very popular local place, l'Auberge de Castellas, in nearby Sivergues.
The home has three separate living areas; which would be perfect for several families, or as a private area for teens or adult children. These basement bedrooms, bathroom and sitting room comprise one of the separate living quarters.
The cottage provides a separate living area and is just a few steps away from the main house. The cottage has two bedrooms on the ground floor, along with a bathroom, a kitchenette and small terrace. The bedroom shown here has a 140" cm double bed, plus some comfortable chairs.
The kitchen is a chef's dream with lots of space, views of the property, 2 ovens, a double sink, two 4-burner electric cook tops (one on the centre island and one on the right) a side-by-side refrigerator-freezer and an under-counter fridge. There are 5 seats around the counter. There are two doors from the kitchen to the outdoor terraces; you can see one on the left.
This luxury vacation rental is on the quintessentially Provençal estate, a secluded woodland filled with lavender, olive trees, cherry trees, plus a working vineyard and fish pond. But you are just about 10 minutes away from Bonnieux and Apt.
The home is located in the Buoux Valley; small and big kids alike will adore climbing around the ancient Fort du Buoux. Right nearby is the 500 acre 'Fôret des Cedres' (Cedar Forest) in which the dense foliage has created a moist and temperate microclimate. There are hiking and walking trails for you to enjoy.
The home is a former 500 year-old magnanerie (silkworm farm). This was a huge and important industry in Provence, before an epidemic hit the silkworms. The owner kept the stones from the old buildings and rebuilt the house, and purchased more stones from local quarries.
The very thoughtfully designed pool has a shallow area for children, a swim lane for laps, lots of room to swim and play, and Roman steps to ease your entry or to sit and relax in the water. The pool house is to the left of the pool.
