Here you see the pool, and the part of the house with the kitchen. There is a large dining table under the trees to the right of the kitchen and down the steps. There are many additional sun loungers around the property so you may want to move them closer to the pool. Behind the house on the hillside is the village of Gordes. The Bergerie guest house is located close to this part of the farm.
The dining room with an ancient, working fireplace. This table seats about 8-10 but you can bring in a table from the "maison d'amis" which is just down the hall so you can seat a large group. Through the doorway on the back right side are three steps leading to the kitchen.
A spacious country kitchen in main house for you to prepare meals together -- or have a chef give a cooking class or prepare a great dinner. The housekeepers come in mid-week for 4 hours to clean the kitchen and common areas. Bedrooms are not done, except prior to your arrival and after you leave.
The guest house joins the main house by a hallway. Doors can be closed to make this area independent. Here you see it has its own sitting room with TV and a terrace through the door on the left. There is a small kitchen. There are two floors to this part of the farmhouse.
Three bedrooms lead off from the courtyard as well as a sitting area/children's play room just inside the open door you see in the center. In this area you find the laundry room with 2 large washers and 2 clothes dryers. The guardian, Kaye, lives in an apartment close to the laundry room. However please remember that she is not a concierge. For private chefs and guides please ask us.
Bedroom #1, just above the master. There is a large queen bed (160 cm), and also a single bed in the corner. The bathroom, which it shares with bedroom #2, is down the stairs and has bath-tub, walk-in shower, double basins and separate WC.
The children's play room; access is through the courtyard or through the Guest House.
This is a wonderful house and property for kids to play and roam. The very thoughtful owners have supplied many items for families with young children: high chair; booster chair and attach-a-chair for eating; portable bassinet; 2 booster seats for cars; 2 pack-n-plays; 1 co-sleeper/pack-n-play; backpack for carrying a child; training potty; night lights; baby monitors. There are also folding beds; the agency that takes care of the farmhouse may be able to get additional beds or other items for you.
Bedroom #6. A large en-suite bedroom with two 160 cm (queen) beds. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, basin and WC. Large glass double doors to the room allow views of the courtyard and lots of light, but there are draperies for privacy.
A splendid view of the Cottage with its lavender fields (not in bloom in the photo) and the gorgeous hilltop village of Gordes to the back, top left. Gordes has been classified as one of the "most beautiful villages of France" and was also chosen a favorite village of the French.
Bedroom #11. In the cottage, a small bedroom just off the entry way to the bedroom suite; this one is enclosed by a movable panel, without a solid door. A great place for the kids, with their own porthole windows with a view to the countryside.
