Set in a large, partly wooded garden, this house is ideally located between the historic perched villages of Menerbes and Lacoste and is the perfect jumping-off point for visiting the many delights of the Luberon and the Vaucluse. Menerbes is a 10-minute drive away and therefore handy for all local shopping requirements, with the larger supermarkets at Coustellet some 20 minutes away.

Designer Pierre Cardin bought the Chateau at Lacoste, once the home of the famous Marquis de Sade, and has also invested heavily in other properties in the village, which celebrates with an annual music festival. The delightful market town of L'Isle sur la Sorgue, with its weekly market and myriad antique shops, is half an hour away.

Two hours of housekeeping will be provided on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

It is possible to rent the house in a four bedroom configuration from September to June.
