La Maison Chandon enjoys spacious grounds to the side and rear of the property, allowing room to relax in a soft, green environment. A pétanque area provides the perfect setting for the competitive aperitif game.
Between the main house and the pool area you will find the summer dining area. The summer kitchen, which you can see to the left of this photograph, has all you need to prepare outdoor meals. Mobile barbecues are banned in the summer months, so the summer kitchen has a built-in barbecue and grill.
It's from the rear of the house that you begin to understand the true scale of the property. There's lots of parking space here, and to the right of this photograph you have the grounds, with the petanque court, which can be seen in the photo above.
This dining area, sitting under cover just outside the kitchen, is the perfect place to enjoy a meal in relative calm as the pool and garden are situated on the other side of the house. It also gets a little bit more breeze which is very welcome in the height of summer.
The sitting area is light, spacious and comfortable with an Ipod docking station and a large flat screen TV. There are large French windows leading out into the summer dining area, and the view looks across the swimming pool, over the olive grove and towards the Luberon mountains.
For those of you wishing to stay in touch with friends and - dare I say it - work during your stay, La Maison Chandon offers this handy bureau. Wifi internet is of course available at the property, and the owner also leaves sundry items of stationary in the office for your use.
