A close-up of the pool. A small part of the 3 x 6m pool (1.5 m depth) is shaded, for those who love the water but not the hot sun. There are interesting natural rock seating areas under the canopy as well. The outdoor cooking area is just behind the pool; there is a pool bar, fridge, sink and plancha.
Behind this area is another bathroom with WC, sink and cold water shower.
The main entrance to the home, surrounded by olive and oak trees. Parking is also in front, on the stone patio. The home has a wonderful country setting yet you are only 5 minutes drive from St Didier on the D210 where you will find excellent local commerce.
To the side of the property there's plenty of mottled shade to be enjoyed. A children's swing and slide are found here, as is the spacious pétanque court where many a serious game of boules will be thrashed out whilst enjoying a Pastis apero.
The attractively furnished sitting area with its French windows leading directly down to the terrace and swimming pool area. In Provence we close shutters and draperies on hot days to keep the homes cool.
For those poor souls who need to work whilst on holiday, this office is just the thing. It is for this room that the owners have just purchased a new and comfortable sofa bed which allows the total occupancy at Villa Alouette to be 8 guests.
