La Garde de la Nesque, Methamis - Sleeps 12
Provence Emotional Escapes presents La Garde de la Nesque, a contemporary vacation rental in Provence.
Overlooking the Gorges de la Nesque from the pinnacle of Méthamis, La Garde de la Nesque is a unique luxury rental home in one of the most beautiful and unspoiled areas of Provence. From its exceptional vantage point, it commands breathtaking views for miles around.
Outside, the 12m infinity-edge pool is surrounded by a peaceful gravel courtyard, set in the ruins of the old stone ramparts. The area is quiet and relaxing, a Provençal retreat away from it all.
Inside, the atmosphere is minimalistic, with sleek contemporary decor and art furnishing the bedrooms and common areas. All 6 en-suite bedrooms are spacious and very private, as the property also functions as a bed-&-breakfast. Nearly all bathrooms have a spa bath with integrated speakers for listening to soothing music while getting a gentle bubble massage.
In a unique location on the edge of the Luberon to the south and right at the foot of the Mont Ventoux just to the north, Méthamis is a tiny Provençal village with a surprising history - it once served as a remote fortified outpost storing grain and gold for the ancient trade city of Massilia, now known as Marseilles. It is within a 30-minute drive of Bédoin, Carpentras, Pernes-les-Fontaines, l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Venasque, Gordes, Roussillon and Sault, among many others.
On account of the low wall surrounding the pool and courtyard area overlooking the gorges, this property is not suitable for children.
