Pernes-les-Fontaines is located halfway between the Luberon, the Alpilles, Avignon and the Mont Ventoux, making it a perfect base for exploring all of Provence.
The ideal group for renting this house is 6 adults and 4 children, as there are 3 double bedrooms on the ground floor and a multiple room with 4 single beds (1 m wide!) on the 1st floor, which is ideal for children but not well-suited for adults on account of the sloping roof.
One of the bedrooms on the ground floor (to the right-hand side of the house) is wheelchair-accessible, with French windows that lead outside to its own little terrace, which also connects to the front terrace.
The owner has paid great care to every detail, both indoors and out, ensuring you have a very enjoyable vacation in Provence.
Pernes-les-Fontaines is a lovely medieval fortified town. The remaining fortifications include defensive walls dating back to the 16th century, and several defensive "portes" dating to the 16th and 14th centuries. The Tour Ferrande is a 13th-century donjon tower with frescos. The old castle of the Counts of Toulouse, with its 13th-century donjon, 1484 clock and 1764 campanile, is one of the oldest in the "Comtat".
