Aix - Marseilles Provence rentals

The Bouches-du-Rhône region of Provence is at the southernmost point of Provence and boasts France's largest city after Paris, the port of Marseilles.
Like other parts of Provence, the Bouches-du-Rhône is defined by its mountain ranges.
Les Alpilles (literally: little Alps) lie to the North and border the Luberon. These sharp peaked hills are an impressive sight and define the horizon for much of the region. Between Arles and Lamanou, with St. Remy de Provence in the center, the Alpilles extend for 25km surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and almond trees.

Les Calanques, nearly 20 km long and 4 km wide, stretch on the coast from Marseille to Cassis. These craggy inlets form an astounding wild coastline. Inlets of steep sided rocky cliffs, some rising to an impressive 400m above sea level, can be seen by boat or by walking along any of the 160kms of well marked paths.

The Bouches-du-Rhône department hosts the busiest cities of Provence with Marseilles, Arles, Salon-de-Provence and Aix-en-Provence.

Aix-en-Provence has remained provincial whilst being a busy hub of culture and activity and attracts those looking for a city with Provencal flavour as well those looking for trendy cafés and venues.
