Le Jardin d'Aurélia, luxury vacation rental, Provence, France.
Located on a glorious site in the Provencal countryside yet within 15 minutes walking distance of St-Rémy-de-Provence, le Jardin d'Aurélia is a veritable master piece. Enjoying elevated views over the Alpilles and onwards south to the Luberon National Park, the setting is perfect for the outstanding architectural design and landscaping of le Jardin d'Aurélia, making it an ideal prestige vacation rental.
Le Jardin d'Aurélia is made up of three separate houses, two of these (the bastide and the grange) form the rental property and the third is currently unoccupied. The bastide and the grange are internally connected, but each enjoys its own garden and both properties have a heated swimming pool.
The five ensuite bedrooms, plus two additional bedrooms with shared bath can accommodate 14 guests. Included in this number is a fully-equipped studio with 160 cm bed, bath with shower, kitchen (cook-top, oven, frig, clothes washing machine), and private entrance for a nanny or other helper.
The landscaped grounds surrounding the property have been painstakingly manicured to create a very special environment indeed. To the front of the property, water is the dominant theme with fountains overflowing into water channels that run the length of the paths, emptying into the infinity pool overflow. This provides a refreshing contrast to the full heat of the Provencal summer sun. From this perspective you get unbeatable views on the Alpilles hills.

St Remy de Provence is perhaps the most beautiful small town in Provence. Post World War II, it was an agricultural area, specializing in flower seeds and sheep, but now is known as a sophisticated country town with some of the best Provence has to offer, and with a wonderful, central location.
There are many sites in St Rémy: the very important Roman ruins at Glanum; the rue Hoche, a tiny street where French-Jewish doctor and astronomer Nostradamus was born in 1503. Don’t forget the colorful Wednesday market which is well known all over Provence. Vincent van Gogh spent most of the last year of his life here, at the St.Paul de Maussole Clinic, and painted over 150 paintings.
