The Provencal stone villa Bastide Canto Cigalo is a wonderful large French family vacation rental house, just outside the center of St-Rémy-de-Provence.
It has 6 bedrooms (2 en-suite) and 3 bathrooms. One en-suite bedroom is located on the ground floor, with a private entrance on the main terrace. Another bedroom is on the ground floor, the the others are on the first floor, with a children's suite of rooms on the second floor.
The pool can accommodate those who like shallow water at one end, and those who prefer deep water at the other end. The pool is L-shaped, 14m by 7 m, and 2.0 m deep (46’ by 23’, almost 7’ deep.) The summer house near the pool has a shower (cold water.)

The grounds are huge and provide lots of room to relax and for the kids to play, making this a perfect vacation villa in Provence. The owners have have left children's bikes, and lots of games and toys for your children to enjoy. There is even a playhouse in the trees and a 4 meter trampoline. The property is completely enclosed.

St-Rémy-de-Provence is perhaps the most beautiful small town in Provence. Post World War II, it was an agricultural area, specialising in flower seeds and sheep, but now is known as a sophisticated country town with some of the best local commerce Provence has to offer, and with a wonderful, central location.
There are many sites in St Rémy: the very important Roman ruins at Glanum; the rue Hoche, a tiny street where French-Jewish doctor and astronomer Nostradamus was born in 1503. Don’t forget the colourful Wednesday market which is well known all over Provence. Vincent van Gogh spent most of the last year of his life here, at the St.Paul de Maussole Clinic, and painted over 150 paintings.

You can see in the front of the photo part of the pool with steps leading to the shallow area, where adults and children can sit and play. There is an aqua bike, and the nearby summer house has a cold water shower and WC.

At the far end, out of view, is a dining area where the owners have thoughtfully provided large curtains to shelter the area if you want to eat outdoors when the sun is hot. Nearby is an outdoor charcoal burning bbq as well as a gas bbq.
