Mas du Temps, Lacoste

Sleeps 10

An exclusive Luberon villa rental for 10 with pool in Lacoste

This stone-built property, full of Provencal character, has recently been lovingly and tastefully restored by the Parisian owners to provide high standard, comfortable accommodation. The main, two-storey house sleeps 6; there are two additional en-suite bedrooms which are accessed from the courtyard, perfect for anyone wishing for a little solitude, or to lodge a passing friend or perhaps a nanny/cook accompanying the main party.

Set in a large, partly wooded garden, this house is ideally located between the historic perched villages of Menerbes and Lacoste and is the perfect jumping-off point for visiting the many delights of the Luberon and the Vaucluse. Menerbes is a 10 minute drive away and therefore handy for all local shopping requirements, with the larger supermarkets at Coustellet some 20 minutes away.

Two hours of housekeeping will be provided on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

It is possible to rent the house in a four bedroom configuration from September to June. Please see the notes below the calendar on the Availability & Rates page.

Lacoste, Luberon, Provence, south of France.

Lacoste is a small, ancient Provencal hilltop village in the Luberon, the region brought to life in the humorous writings of Englishman Peter Mayle, and where travellers seeking to emulate Mayle’s life in the south of France love to spend their summers. Lacoste is located between Ménerbes and Bonnieux, other beloved villages in the region. The stunning ancient stone buildings connected by narrow ‘calade’-surfaced streets provide a perfect backdrop for wandering around to the local cafés and shops. The town is set in an agricultural area of fertile plains and picturesque hills where fruit growing activities, including cherries and the well-known Cavaillon melon take place alongside the vineyards.

Lacoste is most well-known for its impressive 11th century hilltop château, which towers over the area. Now owned by couturier Pierre Cardin, i...
