The Saturday market in Uzès attracts shoppers from near and far – some drawn by the medieval architecture of this handsome town as much as by the array of goods on offer. Stalls line a large sweep of the main boulevard and adjoining streets but the Place aux Herbes is the centre of the action, especially for food. There is also the smaller Wednesday mornings market.
