The tiny village of Crillon-le-Brave has an illustrious past. Founded by Romans on a hilltop (to better defend itself) the village “fell off the map” until the 14th century, when the Crillon family in Avignon gained feudal rights to it. One of the Crillon family dukes, who was also one of King Henri IV’s bravest generals, became known as the “Le Brave Crillon” and soon the village took his name. (The same family acquired a famous Parisian palace in 1788 and it’s been known as the Hôtel de Crillon ever since.) -

The counter seating area is made of a wooden block and has 2 chairs and 2 stools. The well-equipped kitchen even has an ice cream maker so you can really enjoy the fabulous cherries, peaches and figs that this region is famous for. Other appliances include a Magimix food processor, an expresso machine, a drip coffee pot and a blender.
You will love having breakfast or a snack in the modern, yet very comfortable kitchen; or just sit at the wooden counter and relax and chat with the cook. Treat yourself and have the housekeeper bring in morning bread and pastries, or even better, have her make your breakfasts. -
