I have nothing but praise for for the Mas des Fragrance--such a beautiful property in a great location, except maybe two tiny points -it would have been helpful to have instructions for use of the c... Read more ooker oven & microwave but we managed to figure it out. Also may have been a nice touch to have an option to heat the pool - it was pretty cold especially for the kids even in the height of summer.

All the staff were very helpful. Angeline was there to meet & greet us as you know & give us a quick run down on the property. She very kindly gave us her number in case we needed to contact her & was also there on the day we left. Guy looked after the pool area & dealt with the trash & recycling very efficiently. Regine came every other day to clean the house - she was unobtrusive & the house was always spotless when she left. All three of them were very friendly & we cannot fault their service in anyway. I hope this is helpful.

Villa manager's reply to the issues raised.
1. She will do a manual to explain how to use the appliances.
2. The pool is equipped with a heating system, but it was turned off in July and August, under the assumption that the water will be warm. However now they will leave the heating on in summer.

The property is incredibly comfortable..wonderfully appointed..elegant but not stuffy. Each bedroom has plenty of space and attached baths (the rooms in the guest house have brand new bathrooms that are stunning). The kitchen is great-- so well stocked that we spent many evenings cooking at home (with finds from the local markets). There was plenty of room for the entire group- everyone could spread out, find quiet spots but then come together in the living room, porch or kitchen. Herve, the manager, was very helpful, heing us with dinner reservations and giving great advice.
Our entire group was completely smitten by our stay. We kept thinking we were in a magazine or movie. We would definitely recommend this place for any group..it is truley a dream come true. Many, many thanks! Close

We cannot thank Emotional Escapes enough for all they did to assist us with our summer holiday. When our normal summer holiday villa cancelled four days prior to our departure, Emotional Escapes came ... Read more to the rescue. Sharon was beyond helpful and secured us a fantastic holiday rental. She went way beyond the call of duty and for that we are incredibly grateful.

We stayed at La Valentine in Lourmarin, which was a fabulous retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We loved playing tennis everyday and enjoyed lounging around the pool and utilising all the fabulous terraces. We even took our own croquet set with us and set up a fabulous pitch on the lower lawn. There is a wonderful boules court and outdoor table tennis, so plenty to keep everyone occupied.

The house itself was incredibly spacious and comfortable with air conditioning throughout. All the rooms were a good size and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped, especially the very large fridge!

La Valentine really gives you the feeling that you are privileged enough to stay in someone’s home. It was very special.

Emotional Escapes is completely professional and a joy to work with and we hope to use them again. Close

We have come to our last day here at your beautiful home and we are extremely sad to be leaving! Everything about the house is perfect! We were spoilt for choice when de... Read more ciding which of the gorgeous outdoor spaces to eat our dinner in the evenings. We think our favorite spot for "Al Fresco" dinning has to be the little round table outside the kitchen door. The view from this spot is just spectacular.
Everything provided for us here has helped us feel very relaxed and satisfied on our 2 weeks holiday.
Last night, we commented on just how little time was spent away from the house and this is definitely due to the wonderful environment we are staying in. The gardener cut us sprigs of lavender, which was just lovely too! Everything we needed was here at our disposal and we were so touched by your personal welcome to the house.Seeing Andrée again midweek was lovely!

Bernadette also suggested that we go to Miramas Le Vieux, and try the ice cream at Le Misto (Rue Frederic Mistral.) 13140 Miramas is south-east of St Remy, just off the D5 and close to the Etang (Pond) de Beurre, just north of the Mediterranean. Mas l'Arlésienne review

We loved our 3 week stay in St Remy and at the Mas Arlesiènne. It was just what we hoped it would be-- a traditional "mas"--peaceful and quiet, with wonderful views of the Alpilles from our... Read more bedroom in the morning and within walking distance of the town for breakfast and meals.
The pool was big enough to swim in properly too. We loved the tiled floors, the arched sitting room and the feeling of space. Plenty of space for the family when they joined in. In St Remy we loved Brasserie du Commerce for breakfast, the Grand Cafe Riche for an afternoon drink, and L'Aile ou la Cuisse for evening meals.
In our 3 weeks we walked the Alpilles, visited Avignon, Arles, Marseille, Nimes, Orange--interspersed with lazy days at the mas. We were all looked after by Bernadette and her husband,--thank you very much.
